Joyce is doing her best to keep up with school and have a good future, but she is facing some objective difficulties. Since September she moved to a girls-only house close to school to makes her life easier. At home she was getting continuous chores and she could not study. At the same time, she was getting no food nor attentions. Now that she left the house, her family disappeared completely. This means that with the little she gets from Marajowi (approximately 60 EUR/month), she has to pay the rent (20 EUR/month), the school fees (80 EUR/trimester) and her food. This week she was down with malaria and spent 6 EUR at the hospital for medications. Things are difficult and obviously tough.
